Terminal Superintendent.
Run a Defense Fuel Support Point end to end: every barrel received, stored and shipped, the condition of the facility, the compliance record, and the site team that delivers all three.
First 90 days
You inherit a terminal at contract start, which means the first 90 days are a transition and an operation at the same time. By day 30 you have run a pipeline receipt from the dock yourself and you know every valve, pump and tank on the site by hand rather than by drawing. By day 60 the preventive maintenance program is live in the CMMS, the environmental plans are current in your name, and the site team is trained and scheduled. By day 90 the government's inventory reconciles without a correcting entry, and the contracting officer's representative brings you problems before they become findings.
Requirements
- Six or more years in fuel terminal operations covering receipt, storage and shipment by tank truck, pipeline and tanker or barge
- Three or more years supervising, of which at least two are specialized supervision of fuel terminal operations, maintenance or environmental compliance
- Hands-on operation, maintenance and repair of a bulk petroleum storage terminal
- Ownership of a spill prevention and response program, including writing the plans rather than inheriting them

This is a named key personnel role on a Defense Logistics Agency contract Alpha Federal is competing for, and it becomes a job only if the contract is awarded to us. The selected candidate signs a letter of intent, allows their resume to be submitted with the proposal, and commits to the start date and the first sixty days on site.
You are the company in front of the customer every day. The government’s read of Alpha Federal at this site will be almost entirely its read of you.
