Fuel Distribution System Operator.
You move fuel. Load tank trucks, run pipeline shipments and receipts, gauge tanks, pull samples, run on-site quality tests, and keep the operating areas clean, safe and ready for the next movement.
First 90 days
By day 30 you are inspecting and loading tank trucks to standard and you know the tank farm layout cold. By day 60 you are qualified on sampling and on-site quality testing and you have worked receipts on an off shift. By day 90 you can run a routine shipment start to finish on your own, and the operator maintenance in your area (pits, filter separators, housekeeping) is something the Superintendent no longer has to ask about.

Offers for this role are contingent on the Defense Logistics Agency awarding the contract to Alpha Federal. We make contingent offers early so the right people are cleared for base access and ready on day one rather than starting the process after award.
This is the role most people on this site start in. Operators who want to lead a shift, run maintenance or move into terminal administration are promoted from it.
