Fuel Distribution System Mechanic.
Keep the terminal's fuel systems running. You own preventive maintenance on pumps, valves, meters, filter separators, additive injection, cathodic protection and the emergency generator, and you are the government's eyes on its repair contractors.
First 90 days
By day 30 the preventive maintenance schedule is loaded in the maintenance management system and running on time, not catching up. By day 60 you have serviced every additive injector, filter separator and meter on the site at least once and you know which ones will give you trouble. By day 90 you have tested the cathodic protection system, proven the generator under full load, and produced an inspection finding that differs from the repair contractor's, because the reason this position exists is that somebody has to check their work.

Offers for this role are contingent on the Defense Logistics Agency awarding the contract to Alpha Federal. We make contingent offers early so the right people are cleared for base access and ready on day one rather than starting the process after award.
There is one mechanic on this site. Nothing is escalated past you to somebody with more fuel systems experience, because there is nobody with more, and that is the appeal of the job or the reason to pass on it.
